June Weddings and the Symbology of Pearls
Posted: June 16, 2011 Filed under: Birthstones 1 Comment »
Wearing pearls at a wedding is a symbolic gesture, a sign which shows our support in promoting the longevity of the marriage. According to tradition, June’s “birthstone” the pearl, “Ensures constancy, true friendship and fidelity”. June is traditionally a favorable month for marriages as the month is sacred to the Roman goddess Juno, goddess of marriage and sacred contracts. This bracelet, named the Juno bracelet, is made of a pallette of warm-hued pearls: from soft white to golden yellow, and lavender lilac. Hand knotted on satin with diamond ties, this bracelet is hand made (including the macramé closure too!) by Lisa Pevaroff. Shop online now at www.LisaPevaroff.com.
